Back the Blue Ride 2020 A Tribute to Law Enforcement August 29, 2020 Back the Blue From Caldwell hosted “Back the Blue Ride 2020” on Saturday, August 29, 2020 beginning at 8 a. m. at Xcel Fitness in Hickory (2008 Clement Blvd NW) to show support for law enforcement and to raise funds for Caldwell County D. A. R. E (drug education) and NC C. O. P. S. (which helps families of fallen officers). In addition to accepting donations, they sold t shirts and 50/50 raffle tickets. A convoy led by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department left Xcel Fitness at 9:30 a.m. traveled north on Hwy 321 to Falls Avenue and passed the Granite Falls Police Department before heading north on Hwy 321A to honor police at Hudson, Lenoir, and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department. There was an after party at the former Rooster Bush Automotive with food trucks, music, and special guests. Here are some photos of vehicles that passed through Granite Falls.
